Using public transport in Greater Wellington:
Survey to inform accessibility training

This survey is for people who use buses, trains, ferries, or Te Hunga Whaikaha Total Mobility taxis in the Greater Wellington area.
It is also for people who would like to use those forms of transport but don't use them already.

The purpose of the survey is to help us to train bus drivers, train staff, and Total Mobility drivers to provide a better service for all people. The training is about accessibility awareness, so we are most interested in the experiences of disabled people, including people who have temporary challenges using transport.

The survey is not about parking (except for Total Mobility taxi parking issues). It is not about your journey from home to the bus stop or train station. It is not about walking, wheeling or cycling in Wellington. It is not about any transport services that travel outside Greater Wellington.

We have other formats of this survey available on request. They include
- paper surveys that can be emailed to you, including a large print option
- a phone-in option where you can be taken through the survey questions over the phone
- surveys in different languages
We will ensure that anyone who requests a survey in a different format from this online version will have enough time to complete it.
To request a survey in a different format from this one please email info@bridgetdoran.nz

There is space at the end of the survey to add any other comments you would like to add, about transport in Greater Wellington.

This research is being done by CCS Disability Action and transportation engineer Bridget Doran, as independent research consultants on behalf of Metlink.
