Introduction

Dear Friends,

Unaccompanied children need your help!  Mentors are in dire need in order to increase pro bono capacity across the nation.  AILA is sending out a call for volunteers to serve as mentors for attorneys both within and outside of the AILA family.  There are thousands of unaccompanied children desperately in need of legal representation and their numbers grow each day.  It is our hope that you will consider sharing your expertise with other attorneys working on unaccompanied children's cases.

By completing this survey and agreeing to volunteer as a mentor on unaccompanied kids' cases, AILA can provide expert knowledge to increase pro bono capacity.

AILA has partnered with the American Bar Association's UAC Working Group and we now have an established mechanism through which you can be of service as a mentor to pro bono attorneys on these cases. The UAC Working Group has hired a staff person housed at the ABA's Center for Pro Bono who is focusing on these efforts. This survey is a short 11 questions and will only take a few moments of your time to complete.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to become engaged on this issue, and for your commitment to pro bono service!

If possible, please complete this survey by Friday, December 4.

Thank you!
