Please join the Ounce of Prevention Fund Illinois Policy Team, in partnership with Illinois Action for Children, the Governor’s Office of Early Childhood Development, and the Illinois State Board of Education, for a free webinar series for early childhood community systems leaders. Best Practices in Systems Integration and Alignment

This presentation will provide an overview of best practices in systems integration and alignment. Information will be provided about what systems integration and alignment is and why it is important, strategies for integrating and aligning systems, and examples of systems integration in action. The presenter will also discuss common challenges in systems integration and alignment and strategies for overcoming those challenges.

Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health

This introductory presentation is designed for early childhood leaders and community partners in order to learn about infant and early childhood mental health and ways to address it within programs. Information will also be shared about early childhood mental health resources, as well as statewide initiatives focused on the issue.

 Child Find Project: Developmental Screening Data

This presentation provides an overview of the developmental screening data collected by the Child Find Project and the statewide mappings produced by the Illinois Early Childhood Asset Map (IECAM).  Participants will learn about the collection process, data, and mappings to better understand how to use this data to assess and improve efforts to ensure that all children 0-5 receive developmental screenings

Immigration & Early Childhood: What Should We Know and How Can We Best Support?

Every child and family deserves to feel welcome, safe and valued regardless of their actual or perceived immigration or citizenship status. Unfortunately, anti-immigrant policies, rhetoric and uncertainty are increasingly impacting the overall well-being and development of young children and families living in Illinois and across the nation. In response, join the Ounce of Prevention to learn about the current immigration landscape, the political climate’s effect on young children and families, and resources and recommendations to best support families.
