Collaboration and Competition |
Introduction
Thank you for taking the time to take this survey. The survey is designed to be taken by those who work as employees in an organization. The survey will remain open until July 31, 2017, or until 100 or more responses have been recorded. Please only take the survey once. Once the survey is closed, the results will be posted on my LinkedIn page.
As you take the survey, think about how you and others behave in the workplace, internally with each other (i.e. not with external customers). For this survey, workplace refers to the organization or institution where you work. The terms workplace and organization are used interchangeably.
For clarity, definitions are below.
Collaboration in the workplace is when two or more people (often groups) work together through idea sharing and thinking to accomplish a common goal. (source: http://study.com/academy/lesson/what-is-collaboration-in-the-workplace-definition-benefits-examples.html)
Competition: 1. the act of competing; rivalry for supremacy, a prize, etc.: The competition between the two teams was bitter. 2. a contest for some prize, honor, or advantage: Both girls entered the competition. (source: http://www.dictionary.com/browse/competition).
