Harrisville Pocket Neighborhood Survey

Old Home Days 2026 - Help Shape Harrisville's Future

Over the past eighteen months, surveys and community conversations have consistently shown that many Harrisville residents recognize a shortage of attainable housing for young adults, families, and seniors wishing to downsize.

Residents have also expressed considerable interest in Pocket Neighborhoods—small groups of four to twelve homes clustered around a shared green. By sharing driveways, utilities, and other infrastructure, these neighborhoods can reduce development costs while preserving more open land.

We invite you to view examples of Pocket Neighborhoods from New Hampshire and learn about the ordinance now being considered by the Ordinance Review Committee of the Planning Board. You can do this by visiting www.harrisvillenh.org (documentation is under Affordable Housing Project) or by visiting the Affordable Housing Project's Old Home Day Booth on Saturday, July 18th.
