About NVPCA 2019 Annual Healthcare Conference -

Nevada Primary Care Association (NVPCA) is the federally designated Primary Care Association for the State of Nevada. NVPCA is dedicated to assisting health centers and other community health providers with the implementation of solid business practices and community-responsive programs in an effort to improve service delivery effectiveness and efficiency. Our work is based on maximizing resources, developing a strong intersection between medical care and public health at the community level, and using sound business sense in developing capacity to serve those who do not have access to mainstream health care.

We are a non-profit membership organization that was founded in 1995. We serve Section 330 funded and prospective Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), tribal health centers, other primary care clinics, and community health providers throughout the State of Nevada. NVPCA supports collaboration and coordination among existing health centers and other community health providers to improve and expand access to comprehensive primary care services throughout the state.

NVPCA is now accepting presentation proposals for the 2019 Annual Healthcare Conference scheduled for Wednesday, September 18, 2019 and Thursday, September 19, 2019. This year's conference will be held in Reno, NV and we hope to have approximately 100 attendees representing clinic staff, administrative staff, providers, nurses, social workers, state employees, and community partners.  Submission due date: May 10, 2019

The Annual Conference Planning committee strives to design an educational program to ensure attendees are equipped with effective strategies to achieve operational success and enhance quality for all patients. We encourage proposals from a variety of companies and organizations representing different points of view on timely subject matter. Speakers will be chosen based on the following criteria:

1. Quality, timeliness and value of content
2. Relevance to the needs of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) staff
3. Requested honorarium - In an effort to keep registration fees at a minimum for attendees, NVPCA operates on a limited expense budget. Therefore, speakers who will waive the request for honorarium or fees will be given top priority. Presenters who waive their fee will be given a complimentary registration into the conference, and will have the opportunity to network with other attendees and presenters.

Submissions for the NVPCA Annual Healthcare Conference are due Friday, May 10, 2019. Decisions regarding selection of education sessions will be made by the last week of May.
