Several years ago, the Town of Sturbridge joined a nationwide lawsuit against pharmaceutical companies and pharmacies that focused on the distribution of opioids. As a result, we have received funding to be used to address the opioid crisis through prevention, treatment, and recovery in our community.
We have created SOS (Sturbridge Opioid Support) and used some of these funds for pamphlets, fliers, and business cards with QR codes and links to our website where resources may be found. Some of these are educational while others are for those in recovery. In addition, we have hosted speaking sessions and held programs through the Joshua Hyde Public Library, such as “Hidden In Plain Sight”, to educate parents on how to spot opioid use by teens.
We still have funds to expend (approximately $50K) and are looking for public input on how to do so.
This 5 minute survey is designed for you to share your ideas on where you think we can best utilize these funds.
Please note: You are not obligated to add your name and other identifying information in order for us to record your responses. Your submission can remain completely anonymous.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this community survey - your feedback is invaluable in informing how we can best support our community here in Sturbridge.
Sincerely,
S.O.S. Steering Committee
