USTA NEBRASKA JUNIOR SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD NOMINATIONS

The USTA Nebraska's Junior Competition Committee is seeking nominations for USTA Missouri Valley sportsmanship awards for the following:

Male and female junior player in each age group: 10s, 12s, 14s, 16s and 18s. Nominees must reside in the USTA Nebraska district.

These nominations will be reviewed by the USTA Nebraska Junior Competition Committee and submitted to the USTA Missouri Valley.

The USTA Missouri Valley Junior Sportsmanship award is given to a male and female junior player in each age group, who best exemplifies the finest qualities of sportsmanship in competitive play including tournaments Jr. Team Tennis, Junior Novice and 10 and Under Tennis tournaments.

Good sportsmanship is an essential element of all junior sports and junior development. The section recipient shall be selected in consultation with the USTA Missouri Valley Junior Competition Committee.

The junior player is ineligible if his/her name appears on any tournament director or referee report exhibiting bad sportsmanship during any competitive play in a 12 month rolling calendar year, or has current suspension points prior to award presentation.

The nomination must have a minimum of two instances (in detail) where the nominee exemplified the finest qualities of sportsmanship on and/or off the court (quotes from coaches, parents or players are acceptable).

Nominees must be a current USTA member.
