2025-26 District Assurance Checklist

Missouri’s public schools are responsible for complying with state and federal law as well as State Board of Education regulations. To assist districts in fulfilling this responsibility, DESE has created the following checklist and requires that all districts complete it annually. By completing this checklist, the district assures DESE that it will comply with the provisions of law and regulation set forth below during the 2025-26 school year.
Mark each item as Yes or No. If you answer No to any of the questions, indicate the item number in the additional comment box, and include an explanation. For instance, if you have not been able to fill every vacancy with an appropriately certificated staff member, must provide information about the number of applications that you received for the position(s) or the search process. A comment on each individual position is not necessary.
If the question is not applicable for your district, select No, indicate the item number in the additional comment box and include an explanation.
