Create Culinary Art in the Community Kitchen
Every week, Dare to Care Food Bank’s Community Kitchen team creates thousands of innovative meals for our neighbors in Kentuckiana who face food insecurity. It’s a bit like an episode of “Chopped” – we take whatever fresh produce and meats have been donated that week and create delicious frozen meals that are distributed across 13 counties. It’s a great place to get creative!
Dare to Care is looking for rising culinary artists with basic essential chef skills to join us in our state-of-the-art kitchen in Louisville for at least one 4-hour shift to help us create a masterpiece meal for ~500 of our neighbors using the food we have on hand (plus a small stipend for additional ingredients). Chefs can form their own team to assist or can utilize Dare to Care's amazing community volunteers for food prep.
Interested? Please fill out the form below. If you meet our basic criteria, you’ll receive a call or email within a week from a member of our team.
Chefs who are hired for a shift will be reimbursed for their time and creative skills, at $200 for every 4-hour-shift, thanks to a partnership with Fund for the Arts.
Thank you for your interest!
