The purpose of this questionnaire is to collect public feedback about recommendations for disease surveillance options during the 2019 deer hunting season. Recommendations have been made to the DNR by the citizen-based Chippewa Valley CWD Advisory Team at a public meeting held in June 2019.

The Chippewa Valley CWD Advisory Team (CVCAT) is an ad-hoc advisory team made up of citizen representatives of County Deer Advisory Councils for Eau Claire, Buffalo, Chippewa, Dunn, Pepin and Trempealeau Counties. This team has formed in response to the CWD positive wild deer that was discovered in Eau Claire County in March of 2018. The purpose of the team is to serve as an advisory body to the Department regarding local CWD surveillance and management.

For more information, visit the Chippewa Valley CWD Advisory Team webpage.

The next meeting of the advisory team is Tuesday July 16th (7-9pm) at the Rock Creek Town Hall in Rock Falls, WI.
