Spring 2017 FEW Application

FEW groups are open for admission! By applying for a FEW group, you are committing to attend the FEW orientation meeting on Thursday, February 16 at Illumina, 5200 Illumina Way, San Diego 92122 in the Fitness Center Lounge. 

• If your application is complete and you are a member in good standing with Athena, you are eligible for placement in a FEW group. Athena's goal is to create a valuable peer group experience for each applicant. FEW applicants are considered for placement based on the mix of current applicants and the availability of groups seeking new members. The most likely reason for non-placement is because a group that avoids professional conflicts (such as members who work at competing companies) is not available. Applicants that cannot be immediately placed in a group will be prioritized for placement in the next orientation.

• Each group decides how often and when to meet; most groups meet once per month in an area that is mutually agreeable to members. Athena will make every effort to place you in a group that meets at your preferred location or time. If you cannot commit to attending 70-80% of meetings at your second choice for location and time, please indicate that your preferred choice is the only option for you.

• Your commitment and participation are key to the success of a FEW group.
