This is the first step in determining your eligibility. This step should take about 5-10 minutes. 

PURPOSE OF THE TODDLER PLAY PREFERENCE PROJECT
The purpose is to evaluate the reinforcing value of physical activity versus sedentary behaviors in 3-4-year-old toddlers.


ELIGIBILITY 
For Toddler Play Preference Study, participants must: 
Be between 36 to 48 months of age for child; Be over 18 years of age for parent/caregiver 
Appear to be healthy to participate in age appropriate physical activity
Be child of singleton (i.e. not twin or multiple)


PROCEDURES 
This study will consist of 2 in-lab visits. During the study, participants will be asked to: 
Play with sedentary and physically active toys
Wear an ActiGraph Monitor during both sessions and for one week at home
Complete 2 laboratory sessions 


We will measure you and your toddler's height and weight to calculate exact BMI. You will also complete questionnaires and surveys and your child will wear an ActiGraph Monitor during both sessions, and for one week at home in between session 1 and session 2. 


COMPENSATION FOR SUBJECT PARTICIPATION 
Participation in this study is at no cost to you. You will also receive up to $95 for completing the entire study. If you do not complete the entire study, your compensation will be prorated. 


IS THERE ANY WAY BEING IN THIS STUDY COULD BE BAD FOR ME? 
You may choose not to answer any questions you feel discomfort answering and may choose to withdraw from the study for any reason, at any time. Due to the public nature of the internet, any data collection completed online does create a potential breach of confidentiality issues. However, security features including encryption are utilized to make this unlikely.

* 1. In order to determine eligibility for this study, specific personal questions will be asked and recorded into a private database maintained by the Division of Behavioral Medicine. This database will include contact information, willingness to participate in future studies and any eligibility criteria discussed during this screen. This information will be kept in the database, with your consent, to help recruitment for future studies.
