I agree to comply with all local and state laws and ordinances relating to the care of domestic animals.

I acknowledge that the animal(s) entrusted to me are the property of The Feline Connection (TFC), and I will let TFC into my home upon request to inspect and ensure that the animal(s) are being kept humanely. If for any reason I or TFC decides that this foster situation is not working, or if I become incapable of caring for the animal(s), I will return the animal(s) to TFC without conflict, and I understand that to refuse to do so may result in criminal prosecution against me.

If any animal(s) entrusted to me should die while in my care, I will immediately notify TFC and return the body and remains to TFC at once.

Sometimes animals in foster care require medical attention. If the animal(s) become sick, I agree to notify TFC immediately. At this time I will be given instructions how to proceed with treatment. In the case of emergency, and I am unable to reach TFC, I agree to take the animal to EASTWOOD ANIMAL CLINIC, and to notify TFC immediately. If I use an outside veterinary service to treat a TFC animal(s), I understand that I am financially responsible for all related charges unless otherwise arranged in advance with a TFC staff member.

I understand that the animals I interact with may harbor contagious diseases, many of which are not easily identifiable in the field.

I understand that many of the cats I may work with are unvaccinated. Feral and stray cats, although rare, may carry rabies. Therefore, TFC recommends volunteers working with cats receive a rabies vaccination

I release, discharge, indemnify, and hold TFC harmless for any and all damage, medical expenses or veterinary expenses caused by a foster or stray or feral animal, directly or indirectly, to people, personal property or pets.

I acknowledge that dogs and cats respond to situations differently, that such responses may be unpredictable, and that TFC makes no claims, representations, or warranty, either expressed or implied, as to the behavior or temperament of animals we work with.
