Submit 10 minutes of script to be staged at our next Live Writes event on Tuesday 10 November 2026

DEADLINE: 12 noon, Wednesday, 30 September
This special Writer/Performer edition is open to writers who want to perform their own work, whether that’s a solo piece or something with up to three additional performers. Live Writes is all about trying things out in a supportive, low-pressure environment. So if you’ve been waiting for the perfect excuse to step on stage and share your own writing, this is it.

10.Synopsis of play

Please provide us with a brief synopsis of your play. This will be used in the director and casting calls, and on our socials when announcing the chosen pieces.

11.(Optional) If this is part of a longer script - you can provide a little context about the full story that your submitted section sits within. This will be good for us to know and could also be shared with the audience before your piece is performed.
12.Is this an excerpt of a longer script or a full self contained short script? Either is welcome! We just need to know for context when reading your script.(Required.)
13.Feedback on your script:

Live Writes has an invited panel of industry professionals made up of Writers, Dramaturgs and Directors present at the performance to provide live feedback to the writers in the space after each piece.

To ensure that you get exactly what you need from the experience to help in your development of the script and future craft, please provide 3 questions that you would like the panel to answer about your play.

This can be absolutely anything and is your chance to get bespoke insights into any obstacles you feel are holding you and the piece back.

e.g.
- Were the characters motivations clear within the scene?
- I'm trying to explore themes of "X" in the play - did you feel that shone through?
- Do you feel there is enough conflict in the script? How can it be heightened?
