Applying for Senior Membership and the Required Criteria
The Executive Council of IMAPS may approve for Senior Membership any individual who, in its opinion, has become distinguished in activities related to the purposes and objectives of the Society, and who satisfies the criteria as defined in the Policy and Procedure Manual and outlined below, and has paid the required membership dues.
Any member who has been a member in good standing (Bylaws, Article IV, Section 3) for seven (7) years, and meets the following 3 categories of criteria may apply for Senior Membership:
Any member who has been a member in good standing (Bylaws, Article IV, Section 3) for seven (7) years, and meets the following 3 categories of criteria may apply for Senior Membership:
- Technology
- Any paper presented at an ATW, Workshop, Conference, Symposium, or published in any Global IMAPS publication is worth one (1) point.
- Volunteer Involvement
- Serving on any committee, local or global, is worth 1 point per year served.
- Leadership
- Any elected office, local or global, is worth 1 point per year served.
- Proof of a minimum of ten (10) points are required, no more than five (5) points from any single category, along with two (2) letters of recommendation from members in good standing (you will be contacted by IMAPS staff to submit these two letters after this initial application is submitted).
Submit your materials using this form, and this documentation shall be forwarded to the President-Elect. The staff of IMAPS will follow up with you directly to collect your two letters of reference. The President-Elect shall approve/disapprove the application and shall notify the applicant.
