The Sports Car Club of America® hosts hundreds of road races each year, and mechanics are the backbone of the pit and paddock for all drivers. SCCA’s Mechanic of the Year award highlights outstanding performances and strong commitment to their craft and to the drivers they support.

Nominations for the Mechanic of the Year award could include such information as the history of the team, why this person is vital to the team’s success, highlighting a recent special event or long-term service to the team, and perhaps an anecdote that illustrates this person’s dedication to the sport.

Presentations will be made during the 2027 SCCA National Convention in January.
