Socially Speaking Remote Group Session Options

Detailed Description Here Please note that this webpage is under construction, the nights will likely be a Monday or Thursday night. It will be USA/Eastern time for 1.5 hours long.
You’ll never be forced to participate. We can all relate and are very supportive of one another.
Group activities are encouraged, pending your comfort level, to progress gradually at a comfortable pace.
Your suggestions are always welcome. A large component of this group is setting goals and accountability.
Each meeting, you’ll have an option to share what your goals are for the upcoming weeks (pro-activity report) and to share what you’ve accomplished (progress reports) in the weeks prior.

You’ll have opportunities to discuss any situations past or present that you’d like feedback on, or any upcoming events that you want guidance for.

Connect and support one another during and between the meetings.
An example of content we will cover: 10 minute interview of Marla speaking about public speaking anxiety: Reframing, self-talk, addressing “what ifs”, and more!
You’ll learn how to recognize and eliminate negative, irrational thoughts to lessen your anxiety at social situations and/or public speaking events.
Topics will consist of the following:
· Cognitive Distortions and Eliminating Negative Automatic Thoughts
· Imposter Syndrome
· Compare and Despair
· Reframing self-talk and counteracting the negative “What Ifs”
· The Power of Shifting Perspective
· Communication Skills and Self-Esteem
· Overcoming the Stigma of Social and Public Speaking Anxiety

Ideally, I would like to have a group of 8 sessions with a CBT approach with the same members to build accountability in a safe, supportive environment.
