February 2022 - CLP Online Course Application
Apply for CLP Sponsorship by February 7 for Durrell or INTRAC courses!
In order to be eligible for sponsorship, be sure to complete the CLP sponsorship form AND apply directly to either Durrell or INTRAC using the registration forms linked below by February 7. If you are accepted for CLP sponsorship, Durrell and INTRAC will accept your application and CLP will make a payment to them on your behalf. Planning and Managing Effective Conservation Projects: An Introduction to the Conservation Standards, Durrell Conservation Academy Dates: April 4 - 8, 2022 OR June 6 - 10, 2022 Registration Required - Complete Durrell's application form (link on RootsUp) and submit it, along with a photo, to academy@durrell.org by February 7. Learn how to plan and manage effective conservation projects using Conservation Standards. This interactive and engaging course will develop your skills in adaptive management using real-life case studies from Durrell, and provide you with tools and skills that can be applied to all types of conservation action. At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to apply the Conservation Standards to plan and adaptively manage their own projects. For more information, click here.
Note: the April course is full to the public and is no longer listed on Durrell's website, but they have reserved a select number of spots for CLP alumni. The June course is still accepting applications from the public; these are two versions of the same course, so please sign up for the dates that best work for you.
Endangered Species Recovery, Durrell Conservation Academy Dates: May 16 - 20, 2022 Registration Required - Complete Durrell Academy's ERS application (link on RootsUp) and submit it to academy@durrell.org by February 7. This five-day, online interactive learning experience introduces the issues and practical skills involved in saving threatened species from extinction. You will develop a critical understanding of biodiversity conservation, the issues it raises and how they may be addressed, as well as practical research skills to inform conservation action. Online Advocacy Strategy and Influencing Skills Course, INTRAC for Civil Society Dates: March 29 - May 17, 2022 Registration required - complete the application form by February 7. This online course introduces participants to the core skills needed to influence powerful stakeholders and policy processes in a range of contexts. It also gives participants a thorough understanding of how to develop and monitor effective advocacy strategies. The course is articulated in 8 weekly modules, with a combination of seven live sessions and independent learning. Learn more by visiting the course website.
