Elisapee Inukpuk Role Model Award - Nomination Form 2026

Saturviit Inuit Women's Association invites the public (and organizations) to submit nominations for the Elisapee Inukpuk Role Model Award. This award recognizes Inuit women who inspire others and make a positive impact in their communities, just like Elisapee Inukpuk did. She was a Nunavik artist known for her handcrafted dolls, inspired by her mother and developed into an award-winning practice. The Saturviit Role Model Award, created in 2019, honours her not only for her art but for her belief in respect, resilience, and her ability to inspire other women through her life and work.

Four (4) women will be selected (1 from the Hudson Coast, 1 from the Hudson Straight, 1 from the Ungava Coast, and 1 from urban regions).

A role model could be someone who:
- Supports women and youth
- Helps her community
- Inspires others through her actions
- Promotes education, advocacy, etc.
- Overcomes challenges

Help us celebrate Inuit women who make a difference. The award will be presented during the Arnaliat Nipingit Conference in Puvurnituq, in September 2026.
