Brandon University Health Studies building is looking for representatives:
BUHSSA Representative: 2nd Year BN and BScPN students needed to represent your class within BUHSSA. Attend monthly BUHSSA meetings and bring forward any concerns from your class, and update your class with any notes from meetings. Help with any BUHSSA events if extra help is needed.
Psychiatric Nursing Faculty Committee: 2nd Year BScPN student, attend monthly meeting (second Monday of the month 1300-1500) The purpose of this Committee is to provide overall coordination and direction to the Department of Psychiatric Nursing. Objectives include coordinating operational requirements; making decisions affecting programs, faculty, instructional staff and students; addressing student, academic and clinical issues; disseminating information from the Department of Psychiatric Nursing and forwarding issues, concerns and recommendations to the Faculty of Health Studies Faculty Council for decision and action as appropriate. Responsibilities of the student rep are to provide any student updates or program concerns from BUHSSA .
Nursing Curriculum Committee: 2nd year BN students. Meet every other month (September, November, January, March and May)We would like to have feedback on the curriculum generally as well as on specific topics that arise. The curriculum committee reports to the Department of Nursing and is responsible for: Developing, reviewing, revising, and evaluating the Bachelor of Nursing curriculum; and analyzing reports and other curriculum related findings/data for consideration and integration into curriculum the completed graduate exit surveys annually in September/October and make recommendations to department.
