This survey will be used by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry to inform the development of a report to comply with LD 1661: Resolve, Requiring a Review and Assessment of the State’s Invasive Species Management Efforts. Participating in this survey is optional. Information that you provide may be summarized or quoted in the upcoming report. Information obtained through this survey will not be reported with the names or contact details of individuals, but it may be reported along with the name of your organization. Please only share information that you would be comfortable with being a part of the public record. Respondents’ contact information and individual names will not be shared publicly as part of this report.
For the purposes of this survey, we are using the following definition of invasive species:
"Species that were not known to be present in Maine prior to European colonization and which have the potential to establish self-sustaining populations and cause ecological and/or economic harm to Maine’s environment and natural resources."
This survey should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. We’d appreciate it if you could complete the survey by September 25, 2026.
