About the Individual, Sport and Cultural Grant

The Individual – Sport and Cultural Grants are offered to support and encourage local individuals participating in either a sporting, music, art or cultural activity/event, or another activity/event at a state, national or international level. The intent of this grant is to support local community members who display individual talent within their field.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to:
Contact Council’s Community Development Special Projects Officer on 1300 7850 277 or by email to council@coorong.sa.gov.au to discuss your application before commencing the application process.

Before beginning this application:
  1. Review Council's Community Vision Plan to ensure your project aligns to Council's Strategic Outcomes under the guiding theme of Community (see page page 25).
  2. Review the Community Grants, Sponsorship and Funding Policy (and Procedure)
  3. Read the eligibility criteria in the Individual, Sport & Cultural Grants Guidelines
    1. The applicant must be a resident of the Coorong District Council area
    2. The applicant does not have an outstanding grant acquittal or has not already applied for an Individual, Sporting or Cultural grant in the same financial year.
  4. Please have all your supporting documents ready to upload in this application before continuing.
