My name is Jiaqi Zhou and I am a graduate student in the Department of Psychology at Towson University. You are invited to participate in a study on parenting traits and student entitlement. If you agree to participate in the study, you will complete the following survey.
Participants must be graduate or undergraduate students above the age of 18. If you do not meet these requirements, please exit the survey.
Your participation is entirely voluntary. You do not have to participate in the study. If you choose to participate, you may discontinue your participation at any time. You are also welcome to skip any items that you do not feel comfortable answering. This survey contains questionnaires used in published journal articles and ongoing professional studies, therefore involving only minimal risks for all participants, because the survey is anonymous and confidential. The only risk is to reveal yourself about your interactions with their parents, adjustment to college, and quality of interpersonal relationships. However, you may learn more about tests and questionnaires used in psychology studies from this survey.
The study has IRB approval from Towson University. All information about your responses will be anonymous and confidential. I will not be able to identify you from your responses. If you should have questions after today, you can call (443) 890-4420 and ask for Jiaqi (Jackie) Zhou, or you may contact my mentor, Dr. Mattanah, at (410) 704-3208. Finally, if you have concerns about the conduct of this study, you may also call (410) 704-3208 and ask for Dr. Johnathan Mattanah, or call (410) 704-2236 and ask for Dr. Debi Gartland, Chairperson of the Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Participants at Towson University.
