Welcome to my 'Perception of Dance' survey!

Thank you very much for your interest to participate in this survey, conducted by Lotta Kahle, student at the Department of Psychology at Brunel University.
The purpose of this study is to investigate people’s perception of dance. Because this study aims to investigate the influence of American culture and Indian culture, participants for this study must be born and raised either in the US or in India.

In this survey, you will be presented with a) 18 short dance videos depicting different dance scenes b) a series of questions that ask you to rate the dance scenes depicted in the videos and c) a series of questions relating to individual characteristics that may be related to your ratings. Completing this survey is expected to take approximately 20 minutes, but you can work at your own pace.

Upon completion of the survey, you will be entered into the lottery to win a 20£ Amazon gift card. Please be aware however, that not completing the survey, skipping too many items, and giving random answers without paying attention may result in losing the eligibility to enter the lottery.
Your participation in the study is completely voluntary, and you may withdraw from this study at any time without negative consequences. All the information you provide on this survey will be kept confidential, and your name will not appear anywhere at the reports or publications. The data collected in this survey will be analysed by Lotta Kahle only.
