Survey of AOP members' views on the GOC's proposals on Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Welcome to our survey on the GOC's proposals on continuing professional development

The GOC is consulting on changes to the system for CPD. The main aim is to make the system less bureaucratic and prescriptive and to give registrants more power to decide what CPD to undertake and more freedom to choose where to get their CPD. Eventually the CPD points system may be replaced. Instead of reporting the number of points, registrants will need to keep records that could be audited by the GOC. The GOC will expect registrants to be able to demonstrate how their choice of CPD activity fits with their personal and career development plans. We want all our members to influence our response to this consultation and are very grateful to you for sparing the time to share your opinions.

You can read more about the proposals in our briefing note or on the GOC's consultation hub.

The survey will take around 3 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous. You can leave the survey at any point and return to complete it later.

Your responses will not be submitted until you click the 'Done' button at the end of the survey.

You don't need to answer all of the questions. Please go through to the end and click the 'Done' button, so that we have the answers you want us to have.
