What happens to confiscated psittacines in your area?

Introduction

What happens to wild psittacines seized by authorities? Do you know or do you have no idea?

The Parrot Researchers Group Veterinary Section would like have a general idea of what veterinarians, conservationists and biologists know about disposition of confiscated psittacines in their geographical area. Who is responsible for birds after confiscation? Where do they go? What kind of physical shape are they in? Is their welfare considered? There are no right or wrong answers! We need a better idea of what happens to these birds, or what the perceptions are, correct or not, to educate ourselves and to make informed recommendations about euthanasia, care, rehabilitation and release or other disposition of specimens. Please help by filling out this survey.
