In celebration of the Village’s 150th anniversary, community members are invited to nominate names for possible inclusion on the Village’s Historical Street Name List.
Under a recently adopted ordinance, streets within new developments must be named using an approved list developed in partnership with the Village, the local library, and the historical society. Each name must have a meaningful historical connection to the Village, such as a notable person, family, place, event, organization, or other part of our community’s heritage.
Please use this form to submit a proposed street name and explain its historical significance. You may submit as many entries as you like; however, a separate survey response must be completed for each proposed name.
All nominations will be reviewed for eligibility and historical relevance. Submission of a name does not guarantee its addition to the approved list or its future use as a street name.
