Preliminary assumptions
1) This survey is intended for physicians working at the bedside in the ICU
2) We estimate completing the survey will require between 5-10 minutes depending on the pattern of practice in your ICU
3) This survey is strictly about adult patients with septic shock treated in the ICU
4) Septic shock is regarded as a clinical construct of sepsis with persisting hypotension requiring vasopressors to maintain MAP ≥65 mm Hg and having a serum lactate level >2 mmol/L (18mg/dL) despite adequate volume resuscitation.
5) In this survey, we aim to learn about contemporary beliefs and practices regarding invasive blood pressure and hemodynamic monitoring in adult septic shock patients
6) The results of this survey will inform the design of future trials
