The N.C. Environmental Stewardship Initiative has developed Environmental Management System guidance materials and a timeline modeled on ISO 14001:2015 as a benefit to its members. To assist in meeting program criteria, seven one-day classroom modules were created to provide training on core EMS elements. All the modules will be held at the DEQ HQ building in Raleigh and are offered at no cost.

Training will provide participants with hands-on exercises and in-depth discussion on specific EMS design elements. ESI staff, along with other experienced environmental professionals, will conduct the EMS training.

The training modules to be presented are listed below.

Who should attend?
· ESI members developing an EMS
· ESI Members with new personnel involved with EMS design/implementation/maintenance
· DEQ and WRP employees working in technical assistance or regulation
· ESI members updating their EMS to the new ISO 14001:2015 standard.  *Note: for those who want an abbreviated ISO 14001:2015 update, we will be offering a 2-3 day course in early 2017, more information to come.
