Copenhagen Drive Closure - Business Community Survey

In June 2020, Solvang City Council approved the temporary closure of Copenhagen Drive between Alisal Road and First Street and between First Street and Second Street to vehicular traffic. The closure allowed business to expand outdoors to comply with social distancing requirements and to increase the number of visitors Solvang could “safely accommodate.” The closure was extended to October 31, 2021 to further evaluate the closure and its impacts on the downtown businesses and Solvang’s residential community.

This survey has been developed to gauge the impact experienced by the business community due to the Copenhagen closure. A separate survey is being issued specifically to the residents regarding the closure’s residential impacts. The results of the survey will be aggregated, and individual responses will be kept confidential.
