Thank you for considering participating in this research. The purpose of this study is to explore the psychological barriers artists face and gain deeper insight into their experiences. This online survey is part of a research project I am conducting as part of my MA in User Experience and Service Design at Munster Technological University.

This survey is being conducted independently by myself Jason Juriga and data from this anonymised survey will be shared within MTU in Cork. Your participation is invaluable, as your insights will help inform potential solutions to support both aspiring and experienced artists. If you choose to take part, please complete the following online questionnaire, which will take approximately 10–12 minutes. Your time and perspective are greatly appreciated!

Question Title

* 1. Participation in this research is completely voluntary. There is no obligation to participate, and should you choose to do so, you can decide to withdraw from the research. All information you provide will be confidential and your anonymity will be protected throughout the research. IP addresses will not be collected at any point, meaning the data you provide cannot be traced back to you.

You maintain the right to withdraw from the research at any stage up to the point of data submission. At this point, your data will be collated with that of other participants and can no longer be retracted. Once the online questionnaire is closed, the data will be downloaded in an Excel Sheet and will immediately be transferred to a safe MTU data storage platform. Myself and my supervisor will have access to this data and I will be analysing and managing data using my MTU-credentials (our official MTU student emails). My supervisor Daire O'Shea will have access to anonymized data. The anonymized data in Excel Sheet will be retained and stored on a Munster Technological University supported cloud storage platform and all data will be managed using my MTU-credentials. The data will be stored until the official marks for the Final Year Project are confirmed and all the data will then be deleted. The information you provide will contribute to the research project and might contribute to the aid of Artists within Cork and Ireland along with any Artistic Data Insight reports, industry business report and/or publications (e.g. research paper, article, book chapter, student thesis, social media publicity of the study’s findings, conference paper, etc.), which will be shared with an academic and practitioner audience.
