Grandview Infrastructure/transportation projects leveraged with grant money: Bridges, Main Street Improvements/complete streets, Harry Truman Presidential Trail, expansion of KCATA bus services, etc.

Question Title

* 1. Should the City create a bike and pedestrian plan to use as a guiding tool to work towards better connecting residential districts to public spaces, (parks, library, schools, City Hall, etc.), private businesses, and the surrounding trail networks?

Question Title

* 2. On a scale from 1 to 6, (1 being the highest priority) how should the City allocate resources for the following infrastructure investments?

FACT: Construction costs have more than doubled in the past 20 years while the City's income for public infrastructure improvements (streets, sidewalks, sanitary and storm sewers) has remained relatively the same. See statement below.

Question Title

* 3. I'm willing to pay more in sales tax dollars to maintain or improve Grandview's infrastructure.

FACT: City funds are generally spent on the maintenance of public infrastructure. Occasionally, those funds are used to leverage other public funding sources, such as federal grants for new infrastructure projects (see Grandview Infrastructure/ transportation projects at the top). Other public funding sources generally do not cover infrastructure maintenance.
