Queensland is a leader in tourism and it now has the opportunity to lead the world in sustainable tourism and ecotourism experiences.
 
The opportunity
Like Noosa, Deception Bay has significant ecotourism assets, some of which already have achieved international recognition.
  • Globally significant Ramsar coastal wetlands
  • Unspoiled coastlines
  • A national marine park (Moreton Bay Marine Park)
  • A national park (Freshwater National Park)
  • State conservation areas 
  • Over 13 hiking and biking trails
  • Many environmental, educational, and cultural tourism activities and attractions.

Behind the scenes, many local food growers, bakers and makers,  entrepreneurs, and savvy creatives are setting up shop in Deception Bay.

To help create more local jobs and build the profile of local ecotourism operators and suppliers we need to know more about what ecotourism:
