Dog Amusement Park
Our rescue is looking to expand!
I've been secretly working on this plan for 4 years. My dog Amelia Pond is friendly with other dogs but they're often not friendly with her. She gets nervous around them and looks to me for a distraction. She is incredibly active when it comes to running, fetch, smelling, searching, digging, and all those fun dog traits! We are building this park with her in mind.
We are creating a kennel location along with a dog friendly mini golf course (tennis balls for the dogs!). Reactive dogs are WELCOME and LOVED! Each hole will be individually fenced in with privacy screens to keep all dogs focused on spending time with their families and not worrying about anything else. There will be plenty of sights, sounds, smells, and stimulating puzzles and activities for your dog to work through in each hole. Future additions will be dog friendly drive in theater, disc golf, mazes, and go karts. The kennels will be run by rescues, not the city. Therefore we would rely on donations and income from the course to provide for the animals. Our employees will be experienced and offer free training or safety tips for all dogs on the course. We are eyeing a piece of land between San antonio and new braunfels but ultimately would like to spread this concept much further. Our adoption events would be able to safely hold 19 dogs in separate areas of the park so that potential adopters can walk through and meet each one! If you have a foster dog or work for a shelter, there is no entry fee for yall because our goal is to enhance the lives of homeless dogs so that they have a better chance of finding their forever home
