
Voice, Unified Communications and Collaboration Survey |
Introduction
BMI-TechKnowledge is conducting a survey into the use of Voice Services and UC&C. We appreciate your participation in the survey.
Definitions:
“UC”: For the purposes of this survey, “Unified Communication (UC)” includes video calls over e.g. Teams or Zoom, including cases where UC is integrated into Unified Communication and Collaboration (UC&C) platforms such as Teams, Slack, Google Workspace etc. It may also include using voice and/or video calling over messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram or Facebook Messenger for business or professional purposes.
“Traditional Voice Services”: includes both fixed and mobile voice calling, excludes Voice over IP (VoIP)
“Fixed Voice Services usage”: includes both Traditional Fixed Line Voice Services as well as UC usage, where applicable.
“Premises PBX”: Private Branch Exchange (Includes premises-based IP PBXs) consisting of hardware and software located at one or more customer sites. (Contrasted against Cloud-hosted PBX).
“Cloud-hosted PBX”: Public cloud hosted voice platform, requiring very little or no physical hardware on the customer premises and generally licensed on a monthly per-user costing basis.
