ANZAB SURPRISE MAJOR WEEKEND Sydney 19 - 21 April 2024 Introduction, contact details and interest This is the Registration Form for the ANZAB Surprise Major Weekend in Sydney Friday 19 April to Sunday 21 April 2024. The weekend is for NSW & ACT Branch ringers already ringing Plain Bob Minor and wanting to progress; as well as established Surprise Major ringers looking for new challenges, to learn new methods, to ring spliced, to conduct and to learn more about the structure of Surprise Major. The weekend will cover two parallel "streams": Towards Surprise Major including treble bob hunting on 6 and 8, Cambridge Minor and perhaps a lead or two of Cambridge Major. Surprise Major - single methods and splicing. Seminar/workshops on Surprise Major topics (& steps towards Surprise Major) will be included in the program.If there are adequate numbers, quarter peals to reinforce methods are planned during the weekend in parallel with other ringing.Local and visiting experienced ringers will lead the seminar/workshops and ringing sessions and provide an opportunity for NSW & ACT branch ringers to start, revisit, consolidate and expand your Surprise Major ringing with a strong, supportive band.
