1. Five Acres Animal Shelter Foster Family Application & Agreement

25% of survey complete.
Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer foster family for animals at Five Acres Animal Shelter (formerly St. Charles Humane Society)! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE YOU PROCEED WITH THE APPLICATION.

We are the only no-kill shelter in St. Charles County, finding homes for hundreds of dogs and cats every year. We are a small 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, not affiliated with any other shelter, humane society, or government entity. We do not receive any tax funding - therefore, we rely on the generous support of our donors and volunteers!

This application is not to be used for regular volunteering at the shelter. Please contact the Dirctor of Volunteers should you have any questions about volunteering on-site.

This completed application and a home visit must be completed before volunteer foster families will be matched with a foster dog or cat - you will be contacted by the Director of Volunteers to confirm a home visit.

All dogs and cats in the volunteer foster family home must be spayed or neutered before a shelter dog or cat can be placed. Additionally, all shelter dogs and cats are expected to remain indoors the majority of the time.

Your application will be reviewed, and references will be checked.

If you have any questions, please call the Director of Volunteers at 636-949-9918 or email volunteer@fiveacresanimalshelter.org.

Your cooperation is appreciated - again, thank you for interest!
