Google's Adword (paid search ad) editorial policy states that "Your display URL must accurately reflect the landing page URL of the website you're advertising. It should match the domain of your landing page so that users will know which site they'll be taken to when they click on your ad."
However, Google and other search engines, give pharmaceutical advertisers and their agents an exception to this rule and allow them to use display URLs such as www.ManagingMyBloodpressure.com instead of www.benicar.com, which is where the consumer is sent when he or she clicks on the ad (see examples below).
