About this Scholarship
Established to honor the first AOSW President, Naomi Stearns, this $1,000 scholarship is to cover the cost of registration to the conference for a member who has demonstrated commitment to the profession, including AOSW activity. The scholarship is supported through generous donations of supporters, including our own members. 
Scholarship Requirements: 
  • Must be an active member of AOSW. 
  • Preference given to an individual without institutional support.
  • Letters of support (minimum of two, no more than four) addressing criteria for the appropriate award from other social work professionals, co-workers, hospital administrators, or community agency representatives
