Housing is a complicated and rapidly changing issue in Maine, particularly in tourist areas such as the Downeast coast. More and more people want to visit – or move to – Downeast Maine. While that is completely understandable, it does reduce the number of housing units available. Lack of available housing units is being referred to as a crisis in many parts of the State. There is very little vacant housing available for working people in Surry, and, in most areas of Maine.

Question Title

* 1. How important is it to create new housing units in Surry?
