The James P. Benson Gift of Hope is awarded annually by Foster Care Advisory Services, Inc. to young adults (ages 17 – 22) who are currently or have in the recent past “aged out” of foster care and are beginning their journey into independent living. The ideal candidate for the James P. Benson Gift of Hope Award will exemplify a life dedicated to passing along their own “gift of hope.”
