This application is due by Monday, May 6, 2024. All applications must be submitted online through this survey to be considered.
Qualifications:
All coaches must complete (or have completed) the requirements for the Foundational Coach training within 30 days of accepting the coaching position and maintain the requirements through the duration of their appointment. The Foundational Coach training includes (costs associated with the below will be paid by USA Ultimate):
- Current membership
- SafeSport
- Background check through the USA Ultimate's provider
- Concussion training
- Pass the Foundational Coach test
- SafeSport
- Background check through the USA Ultimate's provider
- Concussion training
- Pass the Foundational Coach test
Additionally, the Mixed team head coach:
- Must be able to attend two tryout camps - likely held in fall 2024 after Club Championships (likely weekends of November 2 & 9)
- Must be able to attend team training activities (to be determined by USA Ultimate and coaching staff)
- Must be able to attend WFDF's 2025 WBUC (likely in April or May)
The Coach will be selected by a national team selection panel. This is not a player/coach position--you will not be able to both coach and play on any USA Ultimate WBUC team (including any age-specific divisions).
The coach will have a demonstrated commitment to strong character and sportspersonship and will be chosen based on the following criteria:
- Ultimate coaching experience; showing competitive success, exemplifying Spirit of the Game and building a positive team culture.
- Ability and willingness to work with USA Ultimate administration and support USA Ultimate's mission and goals.
- Ability to work with elite players.
- Experience with international competition, including WFDF Beach rules and regulations. A strong preference will be given to applicants who have experience with the USA Ultimate National Team program.
- Preference will be given to coaches with beach experience.
- Must be able to attend WFDF's 2025 WBUC (likely in April or May)
