Complete Home Energy Evaluation - Including air leakage testing using a blower door. A licensed professional will use tools such as a blower door which is a powerful fan that mounts into a frame of an exterior door. The fan pulls air out of the house, lowering the air pressure inside. The higher outside air pressure then flows in through all unsealed cracks and openings. This test determines the air infiltration rate of a home. The professional may also use an infrared camera to identify inadequate insulation in areas of a home. A complete home energy evaluation includes mechanical testing/evaluation. Mechanical testing consists of licensed professional using combustion analyzing equipment to test the efficiency and safe operation of your mechanical systems (home heating system and water heater.) In-home Energy Conservation Education - Energy education directly related to your energy usage behaviors, includes some hands on instruction for do-it-yourself energy conservation measures. Home Health and Safety Inspection - A healthy homes assessment helps you identify areas of health or safety concerns. Creating healthy home environment can result in improved health, productivity and quality of life, reduce health care costs and help diminish health disparities.
