Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for this scholarship you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

A person of any ethnic minority group(s) including but not limited to Latinos (including Puerto Ricans), African Americans, Asian Americans, Arab and other Middle Eastern Americans, Native Americans, Native Hawai’ians and other Pacific Islanders, and Alaska Natives pursuing a career as a certified anesthesiologist assistant.*

Completion of all pre-requisite coursework & application requirements to the AA program of their choice

Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.3

*According to the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC), "Underrepresented in medicine means those racial and ethnic populations that are underrepresented in the medical profession relative to their numbers in the general population.“ In fact, before 2003 the AAMC defined historically "underrepresented minority” (URM), as Blacks, Mexican-Americans, Native Americans (that is, American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians), and mainland Puerto Ricans.
