CIWT Community Feedback Survey

Hello!

The Central Iowa Water Trails project is looking for community input and feedback to guide our efforts to create a memorable and unified brand that will attract users, promoters, funders, advocates, tourists and residents. This brand identity will apply to an entire network of water trails throughout Central Iowa. The project's findings and recommendations will aid our communication efforts and help us achieve our goals of environmental conservation, water safety, economic development, workforce and tourism attraction, and outdoor recreation.

This survey is part of our outreach to the community and your input is valuable to the success of this branding project. Your answers are anonymous and will only be used to help develop the brand. This survey should take about 10 minutes. Thank you for your participation.

21.Part of our task is to develop a brand promise for Central Iowa Water Trails. A brand promise is what the Central Iowa Water Trails promises you will experience when you engage with any part of it, from signage to e-mails to the rivers themselves. A brand promise is aspirational (we may not be able to deliver quite yet) and is not a tagline.

Here is what we’ve come up with so far:

These transformational water trails are a call for Iowans (and Iowans at heart) to return to the water—a fun and adventurous escape to a place that evokes discovery, connection, and new regard for our precious waters.

How much do you agree or disagree that this should be what the CIWT promises?
22.What would you like to see CIWT promise(s) be?
23.We also are developing brand attributes, i.e. personally traits for the brand: how it looks, feels, speaks, sounds. This helps create logos, signage and visuals. Imagine someone waved a magic wand and made these places the best possible water trails they could be – safer, more accessible, improve environmental protection, attract visitors, build the economy and offer more recreational opportunities.

With all this in mind, please rate how appealing, associated and important you find the following words for the future state of the Central Iowa Water Trails.
