In 1981 WynZeh was the first recipient of this award, was a charter member of GSDVS and served as the first President of the Society. The Wyn Award is presented to a worthy member of GSVRP. This award is not necessarily given every year, but is presented to someone who has made an exceptional contribution to the Society. Nominations may come from the membership, although the final selection is made by a group of impartial judges will review all applications and select the winner(s). If there is a member who you think should be considered for this prestigious award, please complete the application below. Former winners are no long excluded.

 
Basic Requirements:
  • Being a member in good standing in GSVRP
  • Minimum service of one year on the GSVRP (formerly GSDVS) Leadership Team
  • Program being in operation for at least one year
  • Promotes the mission and vision of GSVRP
  • Has made notable contributions to the growth and development of the Society
  • Projects the image of a professional director/manager/coordinator of volunteers
  • Has served as a mentor to peers
  • Qualifications of all nominees will be verified

Selection Process:
A group of impartial judges will review all applications and select the winner(s) to be recognized at the state conference in October. Winners will be notified the first week of October.
 

Recognition:
The winner will be recognized at the Annual Conference in October and be included in an Awards Program booklet.
