The Sr. Dorita Wotiska Faith-Based Administrator Award is one of five awards that recognize excellence in education in MANS member schools. Award winners demonstrate the very best in faith-based education and are recognized as servant leaders in their buildings and in the broader education field. Administrators may be nominated by pastors, superintendents, and other school administrators using the electronic submission below. The deadline for 2023 nomination is June 23, 2023.
Nominations are peer-reviewed and awardees will be recognized at the 2023 MANS Administrative Conference at Shanty Creek Resort in Bellaire, Michigan on October 11, 2023. Award winners are provided complimentary conference registration and lodging in recognition of their achievement.
Other awards include the Fr. Zwers Award Pastor Award, Ivan E. Zylstra Award that recognizes champions of faith-based schools, Faith-Based Educator Award, and Office Professional Award.
Outstanding Faith-Based Administrator Award Criteria:
This award recognizes up to 3 school administrators who:
· Exemplify Christian faith;
· Operate as servant leaders;
· Drive innovation and improvement in their buildings;
· Coach, mentor and enable excellence in others;
· Have a broad vision of their ministry; and
· Provide effective instructional leadership.
Nomination Process:
Nomination packages may be submitted by pastors, school board members, superintendent or other school administrators who can verify that the nominee meets the expectations outlined in the criteria section. The nominator must also include a narrative describing the nominee's achievements.
Review Process:
Applications are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on June 23, 2023. Each eligible nomination will be reviewed by a diverse team of educators who will make recommendations to the MANS board of trustees in August. Award winners will be notified by August 31, 2023.
