SUMMARY
A walking track from the end of Cones Road to Boundary Road, through the unformed road reserve is currently being planned. With the increase in pedestrians sharing the same piece of road as motorists, it’s time to take a look at the speed limit in this area.
Concerns from residents have been taken into consideration, and a safety assessment was carried out which recommended that a speed limit of 30 km/h on the unsealed portion of Cones Road, north of Carrs Road be implemented. The Rangiora-Ashley Community Board supported the proposal to seek community feedback, so we want to hear what you think.
