2023 NNECOS Meeting Industry Partner Code of Conduct Agreement
NNECOS meetings are educational events intended to advance the practice of oncology. The preservation of the scientific integrity and educational value of these meetings is of paramount importance to NNECOS. Industry partners at NNECOS events contribute meaningfully to these goals. Maintaining a professional relationship with our audience as well as our industry partners is important to NNECOS. As a professional organization, it is important to provide a meeting environment conducive to attendees’ individual professional interactions. Participation in NNECOS sponsored events in no way implies or states a quid pro quo to utilize the products or services of the companies that are supporting these events.
To this end, NNECOS invites companies to support the society in a manner that complies with the requirements in this Industry Partner Code of Conduct and complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) laws, regulations, and guidelines, including those regarding industry-supported scientific and educational activities, the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) Code for Interactions with Companies, the PhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Accreditation Criteria. Organizations that violate any of the foregoing will be subject to disciplinary action.
NNECOS will acknowledge support in program materials as applicable. NNECOS will not permit representatives of organizations providing support to engage in sales or promotional activities or to distribute commercial promotional materials in the educational areas of the meeting platform. Sales or promotional interactions with NNECOS attendees, meeting presenters, or meeting faculty must be restricted to a company’s assigned exhibit space. Additionally, exhibitors and their guests may not participate in any prize or promotional programs.
During virtual interactions, industry partners must identify themselves with their full name and company name on the meeting platform at all times.
It is my professional responsibility to be aware of and adhere to NNECOS policies and terms of the industry partner agreement, and conduct myself in a professional manner. Failure to adhere to these policies will result in being reported to my manager and to the Executive Committee of the NNECOS Board for consideration of consequences to be taken.
NNECOS may review the exhibit area and meeting venue at any time and may deny an industry partner access to, or expel an industry partner from the meeting without refund of any fees if, as determined solely by NNECOS, such industry partner has not complied in all material respects with this policy.
I, the undersigned, agree to adhere to the above-stated terms of the NNECOS Industry Partner Code of Conduct.
